Breast New Years Ever

To ring in the New Year Juline Dent, Mark Volk and Maria Volk are hosting a black tie affair at the Metchosin Community Hall. Juline, Mark and his sister Maria have all been touched by breast cancer. This soirée will not only celebrate a new year, it will fund vital breast cancer research in 2012.

Help Juline Mark and Marie reach their fundraising goal of $10,000. When their goal is realized Juline and Maria will cut 10 inches off their hair for wigs and Mark will allow the ladies to wax his back.

 The Breast Cancer Society of Canada is a grassroots charity that was founded in 1991 by Lawrence and Kay Greenaway after they lost their daughter Pamela Greenaway-Kohlmeier to this devastating disease.  From this beginning we have evolved into one of Canada’s leading breast cancer research funding organizations, dedicated to raising funds for research across Canada to eradicate breast Cancer. 

We truly believe that every dollar Canadians donate to research brings us one step closer to discovering the causes of breast cancer, better methods to prevent and detect it, treatments that are more effective and improving the quality of life for survivors..
