We are a national organization with a family focused foundation, firmly established by Lawrence and Kay Greenaway, in memory of their daughter, Pam. Pam died of breast cancer at a very young age, leaving behind two small children and a loving husband. The Greenaway Family’s tragedy and grief was positively transformed into a mission, to raise money to fund the research that could ultimately cure this devastating disease. Like many good family ideas, the Greenaway’s charitable endeavour began in 1991 in the basement of their family home. They raised $2,000 that first year. Their family based legacy is being carried forward by dedicated volunteers, a board of directors and a professional staff.
We continue to embrace the Greenaway’s philosophy about people’s generous contributions: rather than spending precious donor dollars needlessly on the cost of maintaining offices across the country, we operate from one office. We are strong believers in a one-on-one approach with our donors, supporters, business partners. This personal touch can only be possible with the help of our dedicated volunteers located coast to coast!
