Pink Diamond Award

The Breast Cancer Society of Canada values the role volunteers have in advancing our mission to save lives through breast cancer research.  We recognize volunteers as partners and are committed to engaging them in effective, productive and meaningful assignments developed to carry out our mission.

The Society recognizes that achievements and growth could not be sustained without the help of dedicated volunteers. While on-going recognition is essential, the annual Pink Diamond Award formally recognizes and honors one individual who has advanced the Breast Cancer Society’s mission through his/her time, efforts and support to the organization.

Please take a few minutes of your time to review the award guidelines and process. When you are ready to nominate one of your peers or someone you know, click "Submit A Nomination". Feel free to nominate as many people as you like!

2016 Pink Diamond Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient

Valerie Marzola is one of the Society’s most dedicated ambassadors. Valerie truly embodies the love, hope and inspiration that BCSC wishes to share across the country. Valerie has been involved in the Mississauga Mother's Day Walk for several years and has used the power of words and experience by sharing the story of her breast cancer journey and her bravery. In addition to her volunteer support, she inspires many people to walk alongside her and to raise funds for lifesaving breast cancer research.

Congratulations Valerie and THANK YOU for your onging support!
