Breast Cancer Society of Canada

• BCSC makes significant contributions to innovative research projects needing the upfront capital necessary to gather preliminary findings. These findings are then used to apply for federal research grants.

• This gives the latest ideas for a cure a chance to be fully examined, supporting a consistent push by Canadian researchers to eradicate breast cancer.

• BCSC has donated over $2.89 million to London Health Science Foundation’s Translational Breast Cancer Research Unit. The $430,000 they dedicated from this donation to seed funding has enabled the preliminary findings to secure over $4.5 million in external grants.

Translational Research

• BCSC dedicates a large portion of their research funding to translational research.
